Lowell S. Friedman

Founder

A graduate of Michigan State University and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, and a member of the Oakland County Bar Association and the State Bar of Michigan, Lowell Friedman is the founder and managing member of the Friedman Law Firm, PLLC. Lowell’s long-term practice focuses exclusively on Family Law and Criminal Defense.

A proficient Michigan trial lawyer, Lowell frequently appears in court to handle motions, hearings, and trials throughout the State of Michigan, from everywhere in the metropolitan Detroit area to the western and northern parts of the state.

Kimberly Denoyer

Managing Attorney

Kimberly “Kim” Denoyer is the managing attorney of the Family Law Department at Friedman Law Firm. With 19 years of experience, she focuses on high-asset and high-conflict divorces. Drawing on her own personal experience with divorce, Kim provides clients with compassionate guidance, honest advice, and strong advocacy, while recognizing the value of resolving disputes amicably whenever possible.

A Traverse City native, Kim lives in metro Detroit with her husband, Keith, and their children. Outside the office, she enjoys cheering on her children at their activities and spending time with family “up north.”

Daniel DeBene

Senior Associate Attorney

Friedman Law Firm welcomed Daniel J. DeBene (Danny) in 2023 as a senior litigation attorney with 12 years’ experience in family law. Danny has extensive experience litigating the issues involved in divorce, custody, parenting time, and support. He has a proven record of client satisfaction and positive outcomes via zealous advocacy, inside and outside of the courtroom.

Danny’s prior legal experience, in small and larger firms, helps him understand the value of having the right attorney for each case and the value of having a reliable team to support his client’s needs. Danny’s top priorities are compassion, care, and concern for his client’s best interest and well-being. He has proven to be a thoughtful, client-focused attorney and is well respected by his colleagues in the family law field.

Born and raised in Michigan, Danny is proud to call the Great Lakes State home. Danny enjoys playing guitar, hockey, golf, and spending time with his wife, Amanda, and their rescue dog, Opie.

Laura Camaj

Senior Associate Attorney

Laura Camaj joined the firm in 2026 as a Senior Associate Attorney, bringing a wealth of courtroom experience to the firm’s criminal defense practice.

Before entering private practice, Laura served as an Assistant Prosecutor, managing a diverse, high-volume caseload involving complex misdemeanor and felony offenses. Her experience prosecuting a wide range of criminal cases gave her firsthand insight into how the state investigates offenses, evaluates evidence, and builds its cases.

Drawing on this experience, Laura is skilled at identifying critical details, anticipating the prosecution’s strategies, and developing thorough, well-reasoned defense strategies tailored to each client’s case. As an immigrant and proud single mother of two, Laura brings a strong work ethic, compassion, and empathy to every client relationship.

Alda Gojcaj

Director of Operations/Facilitative Mediator & Conflict Specialist

Alda joined the firm in 2017 and has gained valuable experience as a paralegal, working closely on cases and developing a deep understanding of the challenges clients face during difficult family transitions.

She has since grown into her role as Director of Operations, overseeing the firm’s day-to-day operations and helping ensure a smooth, supportive experience for both clients and staff.

Her passion for supporting families led her to pursue additional training through the Oakland Mediation Center. As a trained domestic relations facilitator and domestic violence screening provider, she focuses on creating a deeply safe, compassionate space where families can navigate difficult transitions with confidence.

Gina Lynn

Paralegal

With more than a decade of legal experience, Gina Lynn is an accomplished Family Law Paralegal dedicated to providing skilled and compassionate support to attorneys and clients throughout all stages of litigation.

Prior to her role as a paralegal, Gina served as a Civil Clerk with the 37th District Court, where she developed a strong foundation in Michigan court procedures, judicial processes, and case management. She has also been a commissioned Notary Public since 2014.

Her legal experience also includes work in creditors’ rights and bankruptcy matters, providing her with a broad understanding of litigation and court operations.

She earned her Certificate in Paralegal Studies from Duke University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Wayne State University.

When she’s not assisting clients and attorneys, Gina enjoys reading, watching horror films, and making memories with family and friends.

Renee Buckley

Office Manager

Renee Buckley joined Friedman Law Firm in 2021 as Office Manager and has now been elevated to the role of Legal Assistant.

With over 20 years of customer service experience, Renee brings a strong commitment to client care, organization, and teamwork. In her new role, she provides essential support to the firm’s attorneys, assists with client communication and case management, and helps ensure each matter moves forward efficiently.

Known for her compassionate approach and welcoming demeanor, Renee is dedicated to making every client feel valued and supported throughout their legal journey.

Outside the office, Renee enjoys spending quality time with her two daughters, whom she proudly raised as a single mom. Whether making memories together or enjoying the simple moments of everyday life, Renee treasures the time she spends with her girls and their furry companion, Penny.
